WMS Data Server
Details of our subscription options through our OGC compliant WMS are detailed below.
The OGC (open GIS consortium) format defines internationally recommended standards of transferring and displaying data. The advantage of a utilising a WMS (Web Map Service) to achieve this,
is that you, as an end user, do not need to worry about storing and managing terrabytes of spatial information, but still have access to it.
Already have a map engine, or need access to specific data?...simply access our data servers through our OGC compliant WMS.
Immediately have access to these sets of data:
- South Africa Street maps (Southern Africa, available on request)
- Southern Africa hybrid
- Southern Africa topography Map
- 1: 50 000 Topographical maps
- Landsat Satellite Imagery
- B/W Aerial Photos* (coming January 2008)
- Point of Interest data (coming January 2008)
- GPS Map (coming January 2008)
Aerial photographs do not cover the entire country and consist of readily available data. Additional phtographs can be sourced on request
To assist with accessing our data servers, we can provide free GIS software that can be used to view and interact with the data. The GIS software also provides you with
additional GIS functions at no cost.
Should you require a custom map service, with a specific set of data, please
contact us with your requirements, and we will attend to your request.

MDA Corporation, one of the biggest providers of satellite imagery worldwide.
